Set your sights on Vienna: the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) is descending upon the Austrian capital. From 1-5 June 2026, the city will transform into the global epicentre of the robotics world, welcoming the brightest minds, most ambitious engineers, and the next generation of researchers for the industry’s most prestigious annual gathering.
As the crown jewel of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, ICRA is where the future is quite literally coded. It is the venue where pioneering research papers are first unveiled, where the next big collaboration is sketched out over a coffee break, and where the trajectory of the entire field is debated in standing-room-only sessions. This year’s theme, “Robots for All,” sets a bold agenda, juxtaposing Vienna’s imperial history with the absolute cutting edge of technology.
