Agility Robotics Plans V5 Platform Expansion to Europe

Agility Robotics Making Remarkable Progress in Humanoid Robotics

Agility Robotics is carving out an impressive position in the humanoid robot market, as revealed by CTO Pras Velagapudi’s presentation scheduled for the upcoming Humanoid Summit London 2025. The company’s flagship Digit robot has been engineered with safety as a paramount concern, featuring physical stop buttons, sophisticated human detection systems, and emergency stopping protocols that function even whilst carrying substantial loads. These robots have already moved beyond the prototype stage and are actively working in commercial environments, capable of carrying up to 16kg whilst featuring autonomous charging capabilities—effectively liberating human staff to focus on more complex and valuable tasks.

The company’s business strategy appears to be yielding substantial results. Agility has implemented a Robot-as-a-Service model with hourly pricing, and customers are reportedly already seeing positive returns on their investments. Production is scaling dramatically, with “hundreds of robots” currently on assembly lines. Perhaps the most exciting revelation is that their next-generation V5 platform will debut within 18 months, enabling Agility to expand beyond their current US operations into European markets.

What sets Agility apart from many competitors in the robotics sector is their refreshingly human-centred mission statement: “give people free time.” This philosophy, combined with their service-based business model and rapidly expanding manufacturing capacity, establishes them as a formidable player in the practical deployment of humanoid robots in everyday working environments.
