Robotics Industry Sees Major Investments with UBTech and Unitree Securing High-Value Contracts

The robotics industry is experiencing a significant influx of capital, highlighted by major deals secured by leading Chinese firms. According to China Daily, UBTech has landed a 250 million yuan ($35 million) contract with a prominent domestic company for its advanced Walker S2 robots. A key feature of the Walker S2 is its ability to autonomously swap its own battery packs, ensuring continuous operation.

In another significant development, Unitree and Fourier have jointly won a 124 million yuan ($17.3 million) contract from a subsidiary of China Mobile. This deal underscores the growing demand for sophisticated robotics in the telecommunications sector.

Further boosting confidence in the market, Unitree’s CEO announced that the company has achieved an annual revenue of $140 million as of June this year. This series of high-value contracts and strong revenue growth signals a vibrant and rapidly expanding future for the robotics industry.
