Unitree’s H1 humanoid has just nonchalantly released footage of itself clocking a staggering 10 metres per second, effortlessly smashing every existing speed record for bipedal robots. To put that into perspective, it’s unnervingly close to Usain Bolt’s average velocity during his legendary 100m world record sprint. It seems the window for comfortably out-walking our future mechanical masters is slamming shut rather quickly.
