Agibot Hits 20,000 Robots, Deploys 300-Strong Army to Theme Park

Shanghai-based robotics powerhouse Agibot just announced it has rolled its 20,000th robot off the production line, a blistering pace for a company founded only in 2023. The milestone unit, an A3 Ultra humanoid, wasn’t just boxed up for storage; it was hand-delivered to the Chimelong Group to join a new army of over 300 robots being deployed at a theme park.

The large-scale deployment is taking place at the Chimelong Spaceship Park in Zhuhai, China, a venue already holding Guinness World Records for being the planet’s largest indoor theme park. According to the companies, the fleet of more than 300 robots will be fully integrated into the guest experience, performing tasks ranging from live entertainment and science education to serving as tour guides, retail assistants, and hotel staff. This isn’t just a demo; it’s a full-blown robotic invasion of the tourism industry, supported by a dedicated 5G-A network to keep the hive mind connected.

Why is this important?

To put Agibot’s production figures in perspective, the International Federation of Robotics reported that only about 7,000 humanoid robots were sold globally in all of 2025. Agibot hitting 20,000 units produced—up from 10,000 in March 2026—suggests a manufacturing velocity that few, if any, competitors can currently match.

Of course, a healthy dose of skepticism is required. This 20,000 figure is for all robots produced by the company, not just the flashy humanoids, and “produced” doesn’t necessarily mean “sold and deployed.” Still, the Chimelong project is a significant move beyond sterile factory pilots. It’s a massive, real-world experiment in human-robot interaction in a chaotic public space, giving Agibot invaluable data on how their creations handle the unpredictability of tourists asking for directions to the bathroom.
