The company famous for making robot dogs affordable for the masses has apparently decided to cater to the supervillain-in-training market with its new GD01 manned robot. Billed as the world’s first production-ready manned mecha, this civilian vehicle is a slight departure from their usual product line. The company’s friendly request to “use the robot in a Friendly and Safe manner” seems optimistic, at best.
Worth noting: the ~$650,000 price tag is the Chinese domestic market price. If you’re dreaming of piloting one in Europe, brace yourself—import duties, certification, logistics, and distributor margins could push the final cost toward the $1 million range.
